How to Decorate a Luxurious Candy Table

    • 1). Adorn various vases and apothecary vessels with a gold or silver glass paint to create a couture look. Using a stipple brush, apply the paint at the base of the glass container, covering the base completely and then fading as you work your way upwards, leaving the top two thirds relatively clear so that your guests can view the candy contents.

    • 2). Provide individual scoops in a matching metallic color for each guest. Use the scoops as place cards for your meal by attaching a name tag with an organza ribbon.

    • 3). Choose a decadent color scheme for your candy table, sticking with a monochromatic look for elegant appeal. Fill your candy vessels with gold- or silver-dusted candies such as cordials or Jordan almonds to match your vessel color. Use only one color of candy throughout, selecting the sweets with the best flavor that fit into your color plan. Intersperse all white candy with a few metallic morsels to create a sophisticated impression.

    • 4). Wrap your table in thick, luxurious linens with a metallic sheen. Place boxes of various heights underneath your tablecloth to add dimension to your candy table. Place flowers such as monochromatic hydrangeas and roses in vases throughout the table. Use antique teacups filled with candy or flowers around the edges of your table to take advantage of small open areas. Alternately, place orchids in a vibrant color on your table scape to add an unexpected touch of exotic luxury.

    • 5). Place your glass vessels on the table, adjusting the location of vessels to achieve an organic, non-symmetrical feel. Light taper candles in several candelabras spaced evenly across the table. Drop faux diamonds all over the table in small empty spaces. Drape crystal strands from the sides of your flower vases to the table top to add sparkle.
