- 1). Hold two needles together and cast on 33 stitches around both needles. This will keep your cast-on edge loose and lacy. Pull one needle out.
- 2). Purl one row and turn your work.
- 3). Slip the first stitch of the second row. Yarn over one time. Knit three stitches together. Yarn over again. Knit one. Repeat the previous pattern all the way across the row, ending by knitting one stitch. Turn your work.
- 4). Purl one row and turn your work.
- 5). Slip one stitch. Knit two stitches. Yarn over. Knit three stitches together. Yarn over. Knit one stitch. Repeat until you get to the last three stitches of the row. Knit the three stitches and turn your work.
- 6). Repeat steps 2 through 5 until the scarf is as long as you want it to be. Bind off loosely.
