Twitter and Facebook to Market Your Business - Connect With Other People Or You"re Wasting Your Time
Social networking has changed the way many of us market online, but it is important to remember that this does not replace what you have been doing in your business.
Continue to market in all of the ways you have been, but simply add social networking into the mix.
I have used article marketing and blogging as my primary online marketing methods.
Twitter and Facebook both work seamlessly with both of these marketing techniques, so it is a good fit.
When I submit an article to EzineArticles, I tweet about the content on Twitter and update my status on Facebook with the same information.
When that article is published a day or two later it is automatically tweeted, courtesy of EzineArticles, and I again discuss the title and content with my followers and friends on these two social networking sites.
My blog is also connected to my profile on Facebook.
Every time I post to my blog, the RSS feed pulls the post into Facebook so that others can see it.
I also have my blog listed in the application called Networked Blogs, so that people searching by keyword are more likely to find what I am blogging about.
The part of social networking that many people seem to forget is that it's all about the connections you are making with others.
If you just tweet or update your status and never interact with the other people, you might as well save your time.
Seek out others with common interests and engage them in conversation.
You may be amazed at the people and information that comes your way, all while you are there marketing yourself and your online business.
