How to Get Film Coating off of an Oven Front
- 1). Mix white distilled vinegar with tap water and pour it into a spray bottle. Mix the vinegar in a ratio of one part vinegar and three parts water.
- 2). Add three or four drops of mild dish soap into the spray bottle and mix.
- 3). Spray the surface of the oven with the vinegar solution and allow the solution to rest on the surface of the film for three to five minutes.
- 4). Wipe the surface of the oven clean with a moist rag.
- 5). Reapply the vinegar solution and wait an additional three to five minutes if some of the film did not come off the first time. After waiting, wipe down the oven with a mist rag again.
