How to Build Huge Muscles Using Rest Pause Training
This training method is one that will separate you form the rest of the local Gym crowd.
When you use this method I guarantee that you will have others approach you and ask what you are doing.
You can then look at these mere mortals and laugh and scoff in a way that shows that you know the secrets to a great body!! Sorry about that, I got a bit carried away there.
Of course you will take the time to explain what you are doing.
I recommend that you have a friend with you when you do this so that you will get the most benefit from the exercise.
This is a train to failure set, so choose a weight that you know you will only be able to push out a maximum of 6 to 8 reps before your body cannot take anymore.
You are going to use the same weight for each set so you do not need any further preparation.
Now onto your exercise, firstly you will carry out your 6 to 8 reps until failure.
You will then take a brief break, approx 30 seconds, shake your body part to get blood back in to it, move back into position, take control of the weight and carry out another set until failure.
Once you reach failure you will do the same 30 second break, shake out and then continue for another set.
If you can push out another set at this stage, do so, making a 4 set total.
At no time do you decrease the weight but your reps should be dropping each time until you are only completing 1 or 2 reps.
That is it, the rest-pause method is a very old school method of training and has generally been forgotten, except by real pros.
There are a number of different variations to rest-pause, some will say that you should only be pushing out 1 or 2 reps at your absolute maximum and then have a 15 second break between each set and carry out 10 sets in that fashion.
You can try that method if you want but it doesn't work for me but that doesn't mean it won't work for you.
Experimentation is the best way to find out what works and what does not.
