Everything Speaks To Me
Have you become aware of the divine synchronicity in your life, to where you can say, "everything speaks to me"? Learning how to read the book of life definitely isn't easy by any means; it takes a life time of practice.
I only know what I know from my own self-realization, but I feel that when I'm aware and open and really pay attention to each moment of life, everything does speak to me.
I've been a singer/songwriter for three decades now and recently wrote a new song entitled Everything Speaks to Me.
The lyrics speak for themselves: Verse 1 The clouds formed a long feather in the sky, on the last day of the year What a blessing to see this sight, may my vision always be so clear The world is an open book for those with eyes to see, Life is perfect just the way it is, everything speaks to me Chorus: Everything I can see, all the clouds, oceans and trees Just reflect, another part of me Everything speaks to me, everything speaks to me Verse 2 Seeing two eagles perched together, high up in a tree I took this as a blessing, everything speaks to me The sun shone on the snow, cold as it could be What a day to be alive, everything speaks to me Repeat chorus Obviously, this song drives the message home.
Here is another example from my kitchen.
Many times as I've put a spoon in the sink to be cleaned, it has tapped against my coffee cup making that high tinkling sound.
However, the sound would be right in tune, and always on beat, to music that was playing in the background.
To me, life is like the ultimate jig-saw puzzle; when all the pieces are finally put in their correct places, you see the whole picture perfectly.
Seeing how those pieces fit into the pattern of life is the fun part.
Allow yourself the time to notice small things, often overlooked.
Look up at the sky everyday! There is always a show going on there.
And pay attention to the sounds of birds, insects, the wind and barking dogs; they too have their song to share, if we listen.
By consciously being more aware of our daily surroundings, and not lost in the ego's chattering voice, I believe one can come to the awareness that everything does speak to us.
It is we who choose not to hear, or pay attention.
