• While the Mortal Kombat series is usually known for its visceral one-on-one fighting games, there was a brief departure from the formula on the PlayStation and Nintendo 64 consoles. In the side-scrolling action game "Mortal Kombat Mythologies: Sub-Zero," the fighter sets off on a quest to stop the fallen god Shinnok from rising again. These cheat codes can make your adventure a little easier.
  
  

1,000 Lives

• On either version, type in "GTTBHR" as the password to begin the game with 1,000 extra lives.
  
  

Extra Urns

• Type in the password "NXCVSZ" on the Password screen, in either the PlayStation or N64 version, to begin with a full complement of Urns of Vitality.
  
  

Level Select Passwords

• Skip to one of the later levels in the game with the following passwords. To get to the second level, Wind, enter "THWMSB." Type in "CNSZDG" for level 3: Earth. To start at level 4, the Water level, enter "ZVRKDM." Level 5, Fire, needs the code "JYPPHD." Do not pass go, head straight for Prison, level 6 with "RGTKCS." To get to level 7, the Bridge, you'll need "QFTLWN." Finally, to start off at the Fortress level, enter "XJKNZT."
  
  

Super Cheat

• Type in "ZCHRRY" as the password. You'll begin at level 8, the Fortress. If you die before the checkpoint, you can immediately warp to one of the two bosses: press and hold "A" (N64) or "L1" (PS) to warp to Quin Chi, or "B" (N64) or "R1" (PS) to warp straight to Shinnok.
  
  

Rock God Exploding

• There was a second take, a deleted scene, of the Rock God's defeat. To see this, type in the password "RCKMND." In this version, he explodes rather spectacularly. This code only works on the PSX version of the game.
  
  

Credits

• If you enjoyed the credits so much you want to see them again, type in the password "CRVDTS" to skip the entire game and go straight to who helped make it.
  
  

Blooper Reel

• Manage to get to the end of the game with at least five Urns of Vitality (you can use the Urns cheat, "NXCVSZ" to accomplish this), and defeat Shinnok with your Polar Blast spell--using the Urns to refill the Ice Meter--before entering the portal. If you do all of this, you will be treated to some bloopers after the game's credits roll.
