How to Design Your Own Key Ring
- 1). Drill a small hole in the rim of the bottle cap that will accommodate the eye screw.
- 2). Set the bottle cap in the foil pan, and use the tweezers to set the photograph or artwork and small trinkets inside the bottle cap.
- 3). Mix the resin in the paper cup according to the package directions.
- 4). Slide the eye screw into its hole, and tape it in place. Fill the bottle cap carefully with resin to the rim. It will set with a domed surface. As the resin sets, air bubbles will work their way out.
- 5). Leave your piece undisturbed to set for at least 24 hours. Cover the pan with newspaper to keep dust from settling on the resin.
- 6). Attach the key chain hardware to the eye screw after the resin is fully set.
