How to Enjoy Disney Attractions Without The Long Wait
Disney World has become one of these vacation destinations that is popular year round.
For many of us, this means that going on a Disney vacation in Florida is going to lead to lots of time standing around waiting to experience attractions.
often you can wait in line more than one hour for a ride that last just a few minutes.
But there's a way that you can avoid the wait without having to try and schedule your vacation when the parks are less busy, a feat that's hard to achieve nowadays.
The trick to avoiding waiting in Disney attraction lines is Disney's fastpass.
Fastpass was introduced several years ago, but many guests at the park are unfamiliar with how it work or they are confused about whether they are eligible to get one.
The fact is, if you've paid to enter any one of the Walt Disney World theme parks (or Disneyland!) you can get yourself a fast pass and use it to avoid extended wait times.
Also, fast pass is completely free.
The way that fastpass works is you stick your theme park admission ticket into the ticket machine near an attraction, and that spits out a new ticket with a return time.
Then you return to ride your attraction at that time.
The return window is usually about an hour long so you don't have to rush to get there right on time if you are off doing something else.
Once you have the return ticket, this frees you up to wander around the park and enjoy attractions that don't have such long wait times.
When you return to the fastpass attraction, usually you can either just get straight onto the ride, or you may find that there's a short wait.
Generally, any wait you have to put up with won't be more than 10 or so.
This is a big difference from waiting at least an hour or even longer for such popular attractions as Soarin' at Epcot or Everest at Animal Kingdom.
