Soak a sponge in the diluted bleach solution, and wipe the solution over your entire porcelain bathtub surface. Allow the bleach solution to sit on the porcelain for a few minutes to ensure that mildew is killed. Wet the sponge with the bleach solution again and scrub the surface of your bathtub. - 3). Rinse the bleach solution from your porcelain bathtub.
- 4). Mix a homemade scouring solution of 1/2 cup baking soda and 1 cup white vinegar. The white vinegar will kill any remaining mildew spores, while the baking soda safely cleans and deodorizes your bathtub's surface. Scrub your bathtub with a sponge dipped in the cleanser, then rinse with plain water.
- 5). Towel-dry the surface of your porcelain bathtub. A dry surface is less prone to mildew than a wet surface.
