    • The American Dental Association provides Disaster Assistance grants to people in the dentist profession who lost property because of a disaster and need emergency relief, and organizations that provide emergency dental care in disaster areas. Eligibe applicants are not required to be American Dental Association members, and the disaster in which property was lost must be declared a disaster by a governmental board. Eligible disasters include fires, tornadoes, floods, explosions and hurricanes. Applicants should receive an application for grant money at an American Dental Association office, or from an American Dental Association constituent. Once the application is completed, it should be turned into an ADA office, either in person or mailed. The ADA board determines the amount of grant money the applicant, if eligible, should receive.
