The Bold and the Beautiful Recap for October 16, 2008

- Ridge walks in on Brooke and Nick taking a first birthday picture with Jack and thinks things look far too cozy for his liking. Later, when he gets Brooke alone, he confronts her. He tells her he noticed the look of love in her eyes, and when she explains that's the look of love for her family, Ridge insists it's something more. And that something is Nick!
- Meanwhile, Stephanie tells Taylor that she is the only woman for Ridge, and isn't it time she claim him for her own? Taylor insists she has deep feelings for Rick, but that yes, she does still love Ridge. Steph encourages her ex-daughter-in-law to go after Ridge and not marry Rick.
- Later, Taylor shows up at Jack's party and hears Ridge and Brooke arguing over Ridge's perception of the Brooke/Nick situation. Taylor says she gave Jack up to them because she thought it was in his best interest, but if he is going to cause a stressful environment in the home, then maybe she made the wrong choice. Brooke maintains that everything will work itself out - that they're new to these family boundaries, but that she and Ridge and Nick will be just fine.
- Even after hearing this, Ridge still tattles to Taylor about the look he saw between Brooke and Nick, then says he needs to leave in order to cool off. Taylor needs a ride, so Ridge invites her to come with him. Brooke seethes.
- Nick comes in after Ridge and Taylor leave and asks what's going on. Brooke explains that Ridge was riled up after what he saw and tells Nick that she needs to be more careful around him. Nick gets defensive, saying they did nothing wrong. Brooke agrees, but asks for his sensitivity around Ridge.
- Taylor and Ridge end up at Ridge's office so he can pick something up and the two have yet another heart to heart. Taylor apologizes for not coming to him about the Jack situation before she agreed to give him up and that she was sorry she hadn't considered how having Jack would impact Ridge's life.
- In turn, Ridge tells Taylor that he's sorry for all she'd been through in the past year and that he wished she would've come to him. He says that she'll always be important to him and that there is nothing he wouldn't do for her.
- After admitting that having Jack (and Nick) in the picture was making him question things with Brooke, Taylor urges him not to marry her. Brooke overhears and barges into the office, threatening Taylor to stay the hell away from them!
- While this is all going down, poor Rick is being stood up by Taylor at their reception site. Rick is forced to make all the wedding plans by himself. The wedding planner hits on him. Later, Stephanie shows up there and tells Rick that she doesn't think the marriage will take place. Rick tells Steph that he knows all about the conversation between Brooke and Taylor and that he and Taylor are still going to marry next week anyway. Stephanie thinks otherwise and tries to prepare Rick for that as well.
