Silver Polish Made With Things Found in Your Home

- 1). Line a large glass baking dish with aluminum foil.
- 2). Fill a cooking pot with 1 qt. of water. Bring the water to a boil on the stove top.
- 3). Add 1 tsp. of salt and baking soda to the boiling water. Stir to dissolve the ingredients.
- 4). Place the silver in the glass baking dish. Pour the boiling water solution over the silver to cover it completely.
- 5). Allow the silver to soak for 30 minutes. Remove the silver and rinse it with clean water. Buff the silver with a dry washcloth.
- 1). Combine an equal amount of baking soda and water in a bowl.
- 2). Apply the solution to an inconspicuous area on the silver to ensure that it will not damage it.
- 3). Cover the silver with the baking soda solution. Allow it to sit for 10 minutes.
- 4). Wipe the solution off the silver with a damp washcloth. Dry the silver with a soft towel.
