Bling

• Incorporate touches of "bling," or glitz into your wedding decor. Hang strands of crystals from centerpiece trees, scatter rhinestones and crystal beads on the tables and pin a sparkling broach onto guest napkins in lieu of a napkin ring. A "bling" themed wedding is an emerging trend of pure opulence and extravagance. Choose two glittering, oversize rings intertwined as a cake topper. Arrange for glittering chandeliers to provide mood lighting in the reception hall and at the ceremony. Glue crystals onto the place cards of the guests and add shimmering beading to the wedding programs and menus.
  
  

Holiday

• Incorporate the holiday or season that falls near your wedding date into the wedding decor. For Christmas, position glittering Christmas trees decked out in your wedding colors around the room. Fill bowls or vases with Christmas ornaments as centerpieces. Place poinsettia plants around the room. For a fall or Halloween themed wedding, carve love imagery into pumpkins, such as intertwined hearts or wedding bells. Place candles within them to make them glow and use them as table centerpieces. Place baskets full of colorful gourds on the ends of the buffet tables. Adorn the tables with scattered fall foliage leaves. Choose a wedding cake in fall colors, such as tiers or red, green and yellow.
  
  

Vintage

• A vintage-themed wedding could encompass vintage heirlooms, such as vintage fine china, delicate lace table linens and old-fashion jewelry boxes as table centerpieces. In lieu of a jewelry box, you could also stack antique volumes of literature on the tables artfully. Top each with a bud vase. The wedding could also have an "old Hollywood" feel, with jazz music, simple bouquets of red roses on the tables and a black and white color scheme.
  
  

Tropical

• Choose beach colored table linens, such as blue and tan, and place a tropical flower, such as an orchid, on each place setting. For centerpieces, fill a glass bowl with sand and arrange seashells in the shape of a heart in the sand. Place a sand dollar, star fish or sea shell at each place setting. Hang colorful paper lanterns from the ceiling and place a bubbling water fountain on the floor or on the place card table.
