How to Make a Towel Wrap

    • 1). Select your towel, and lay it out on a large surface such as a table or the floor, so that the widest part of the towel lies from left to right.

    • 2). Take one Velcro strip, and secure down the left side, narrow end of the towel with straight pins. The Velcro will cover the entire end, so if you do not have a single piece that is long enough, you may use several pieces.

    • 3). Leave the left side of the towel in its position on the table, and bring the right side end up and fold the towel in half, so you are now covering up the bottom left side that you just secured the Velcro to. Now the width of the towel is half of what it was. Secure the other strip of Velcro to the left side of the towel that is on top. Unfold the towel and hold it up. When you hold the towel up, you will have one end with Velcro facing you, and the Velcro on the other end will be facing away from you.

    • 4). Wrap the towel around you before you sew the Velcro pieces on. This will help you ensure that you have them in the correct position. Set the towel aside.

    • 5). Thread the bobbin on the sewing machine with thread that will match the towel color, since it will show against the towel. Thread the top thread section of your machine with thread that will match the color of your velcro, which will usually be white or black. You will have two different color threads that you will be sewing with: the bobbin thread, which matches the towel, and the top stitch thread which matches the Velcro.

    • 6). Sew the Velcro in place at both ends. Trim the threads. When you use the towel, wrap it around your body and secure it in place with the Velcro, which will stick strongly to most terry towels.
