List of Jobs in Mafia Wars

    • "Mafia Wars" is an online simulation mobster game in which you control businesses, fight other mafias, take on jobs and grow your mafia family. In order to advance in the game and earn money, players must complete jobs in different cities. Hundreds of jobs are available in the game, with each city having its own specific jobs. Each job uses a specific amount of energy; some jobs even require specific weapons and loot. After doing a job, a player earns experience points and cash.

    New York

    • All players have access to New York. This city has nine job tiers: Street Thug, Associate, Soldier, Enforcer, Hitman, Capo, Consigliere, Underboss and Boss. Within each tier are a list of jobs. New York's easiest jobs are in the "Street Thug" tier; they include "Perform a Hit," "Grow Your Family" and "Rob a Drug Runner." These jobs require minimal energy (two or three energy points) and do not need any weapons to complete.

As you work your way through the New York job tiers, energy requirements become more robust. Jobs in the Capo tier (such as "Flip a Snitch," "Steal Bank Records" and "Whack a Rival Crew Leader") require between 18 and 54 energy points and have weapon and loot requirements.

At New York's highest job tier, Boss, jobs require between 31 and 76 energy points and have high-priced weapons requirements. However, these jobs, such as "Buy off a Federal Agent," "Make Arrangements for a Visiting Don" and "Travel to the Old Country," reward players with a high amount of cash and experience points. New York jobs have three mastery levels.

    Cuba

    • Before you can travel to Cuba, you must reach level 35. Cuba has six job tiers: El Soldado, El Capitan, El Jefe, El Patron, El Padrino and El Cacique. Even at the lowest Cuba job tier, El Soldado, you'll need Cuba-specific weapons and loot. For example, "Silence a Noisy Neighbor," "Set Up A Numbers Racket," and "Intimidate The Locals" all require at least one "Local Tough" before you can do the job.

As you progress through the Cuba job tiers, you'll find that many of the jobs require Politico Corruptos. Political Corruptos are earned through your Cuba businesses. Jobs requiring Political Corruptos include "Help Get An Associate A No Bid Contract," "Establish A Loansharking Business" and "Bring The Local Teamsters Under Your Control." Cuba jobs have three mastery levels.

    Moscow

    • Mafia Wars allows access to Moscow for players at level 70 and up. Moscow jobs are divided into six episodes, with each episode having several chapters. You must finish all the jobs in a chapter before gaining access to the next one. For example, in Moscow's first episode, "Baklany," you must finish Chapter 1's jobs ("Fight Off An Ultra-National Gang," "Arrange A Drug Shipment for the Mafiya" and "Smuggle Consumer Electronics for the Vory") before moving on to Chapter 2.

Moscow-specific items are necessary to complete many of the jobs, even in the lower episodes. For example, in Episode 1, Chapter 2, all four jobs require Moscow-only items. Steep energy requirements are common for many Moscow jobs: the "Rob The RossijaBanc Central Repository" job in Episode 3, Chapter 1 requires 128 energy points. Moscow jobs have three mastery levels.

    Bangkok

    • Mafia Wars grants access to Bangkok after a player collects four loot items in the New York job tiers: Triad Coin, Yakuza Sake, Thai Note and the Thai Passport. Bangkok has eight job episodes available: Brawler, Criminal, Pirate, Commandant, Oyabun, Dragon Head, Saboteur and Assassin.

Twice per episode you must chose a side: Triad or Yakuza. The jobs differ depending on which side you chose. For example, if you chose Yakuza, you'll see the following jobs on Episode 1, Chapter 2: "Arrange an 'Accident' for a Witness" and "Torch a Building for Insurance." Those who chose Triad see the following jobs on Episode 1, Chapter 2: "Trash the Low-Rent Casino" and "Raid One of Surchart's Gambling Dens." All Bangkok jobs have four mastery levels.
