Treat Adult Acne with an Over-the-Counter Plan

Many sufferers of adult acne are at a loss as to how to treat acne and prevent it from coming back.
Often times folks will hop, skip and jump from one acne treatment method to another over the course of a couple days.
This will certainly cause frustration and will likely further irritate the skin from using so many different methods at once.

You can also try using facial scrubs and gentle exfoliators to help loosen and open clogged pores.
And a common over the counter anti-inflammatory for adult acne is sulfur, although you may feel just as comfortable calming your skin with a wash cloth soaked in green tea.
You should work to kill the acne bacteria first.
If you don't have Benzoyl Peroxide, soap and water work as well at getting the acne bacteria as it does any other kind of bacteria.
Next try removing or loosening clogged pores with a daily scrub.
You can usually perform the first two steps with a good exfoliating cleanser.
Or you can try a pore cleansing mask to help loosen clogs.
Lastly calm your skin and reduce the inflammation with an anti-inflammatory such as the Green tea.
