How to Connect to Xbox Live With a Wireless Adapter
- 1). Make note of any security features on the wireless network to which you are going to attempt to connect. Many networks use WEP keys for security.
- 2). Turn on your XBOX.
- 3). Connect one end of the Ethernet cable to the wireless adapter in the port called "To XBOX."
- 4). Connect the other end of the Ethernet cable to the back of XBOX system in the Ethernet port.
- 5). Insert the disc included with the adapter.
- 6). Choose the network you want to connect to from the list of available networks. You will be directed to "Wireless Settings."
- 7). Select the security type and security key, if applicable, and enter the WEP key. The wireless adapter does not support WPA security, only WEP.
- 8). Create a password for the adapter when prompted. If you choose not to create a password, the default one is "admin." You are asked to enter the adapter password when updates need to be installed.
- 9). Select "Save" to save the settings.
