European Options for School Travel

School travel to Europe could be the key to creating the perfect school trip for pupils from the UK.
Indeed, children who participate in such an excursion could find that the experience is able to combine plenty of lessons they would normally have to learn from the confines of the classroom - including PE, geography and history.
Travelling abroad with school friends and teachers may be a particularly exciting opportunity for many children and could be an experience that serves them well as they progress through their education.
One of the most popular destinations for action-packed school travel is Platja d'Aro in Spain.
A recommended resort for activity-related trips, this municipality in the centre of the Costa Brava in Catalonia has plenty of experience with entertaining school parties and is also ideally situated for a possible excursion to the city of Barcelona.
Platja d'Aro is also located within easy travelling distance of the Nou Camp Stadium, where Barcelona FC play.
With an on-site museum, this stadium is the perfect venue for kids with an interest in sport and football to explore and learn more about the club and its background, in addition to looking around the venue itself.
And of course, this beautiful Spanish city has plenty more sights to behold and museums and art galleries that could make for an exciting and educational visit.
However, there are plenty of other destinations across Europe that also offer school holidays, including Lake Garda in Italy.
A trip here could include a visit to the San Siro stadium in Milan for the whole day, before heading into the city itself, which is regarded by many as the fashion capital of Europe.
The area surrounding Lake Garda also has plenty to offer, including the chance to head out mountain biking, hiking, nature-spotting or to learn more about some of the sports that take place on the water, such as sailing, jet skiing and windsailing.
And don't forget the food - kids are likely to be talking about the authentic pizzas and pasta they were able to enjoy during their stay for many years to come.
These experiences will lead to memories that last a lifetime for everyone who gets involved and could prove to be something all pupils look forward to being a part of each year.
