How to Clean a Wooden Deck With Bleach

    • 1). Fill a bucket with 1 gallon water and 1 cup oxygen bleach. Agitate the bucket to dissolve the bleach.

    • 2). Rinse off your deck with the garden hose to remove loose residue and soften stuck-on buildup.

    • 3). Dip a nylon scrub brush into the cleaning solution and scrub gently over the wooden deck panels, scrubbing in the direction of the wood grain. Continue across the entire deck.

    • 4). Rinse off the deck once more with the garden hose and allow to air dry.
