How to Modify a DTV Converter Box for Cable HD
- 1). Set the HD converter box and HD cable receiver near the TV.
- 2). Plug an HDMI cable into the back of the HD cable receiver, then connect the other end of the cable into the HD digital converter box's "HDMI In" port. This modifies the converter box to bring in the HD signal.
- 3). Insert a second HDMI cable into the "HDMI Out" port on the HD converter box. Connect the other end of the cable into one of the HDMI ports on the HD television.
- 4). Power on the television, converter box and HD cable receiver. Press the "Input" button on the TV remote control, then select "HDMI."
