Review of Indicators on Your Physical Fitness Level

There are many indicators to see if the economy is doing well- especially with the stock market.
The gross national product, unemployment rate, prime rate, etc are great indicators and indexes to give a temperature on how the economy is doing.
For the stock market, there are even more indicators, my favorite indicator is the Dow Jones Index.
The Dow Jones index comprises of 30 major companies such as IBM, McDonalds, General Electric, Bank of America- just to name a few.
Usually, when the Dow Jones index is going up, then the stock market in general is doing well.
It is a more reliable indicator than just one company (no matter how big that company).
Just like the stock market, we have indicators or indexes that reflect how well our physical fitness is doing- especially if we are at our proper weight.
• Weight This is the most common indicator to gauge our health.
Most people are overweight than underweight.
We need to keep track of our weight- but it is one of many indicators on the condition of our physical fitness.
• Blood Pressure With regular medical check-ups and checking our blood pressure consistently, we can monitor our blood pressure and adjust our diet and exercise accordingly.
Now, high blood pressure is more of an issue than low blood pressure.
• Cholesterol Level It is very important to regularly check your cholesterol level usually by a blood test.
There are good cholesterol (HDL) and bad cholesterol (LDL).
Also, there is the Triglyceride which should be kept low and in control.
High cholesterol is associated with many diseases such as heart disease and even high blood pressure.
There are other aspects impacting the cholesterol level but that can be discussed with your doctor.
• Pulse rate Generally speaking, a lower resting pulse rate of lower than 70 means you are in great physical condition.
If your pulse rate goes above 130 or 140 when you just take a few steps, then you need to get into better shape (possibly even need to lose weight).
These are just a few indicators that get impacted by your diet and exercise program.
Ideally, you want to be at your ideal weight (usually less than you are now) with the other indicators (blood pressure, cholesterol level, and pulse rate) at the ideal levels which depends on several factors such as your age.
Keep track of your indicators just like you would keep track of those indicators or indexes in the stock market.
Your health will be prosperous, bountiful, and profitable.
Profitable in that you have a higher quality of life.
