- 1). Turn the Rug Doctor machine to "Off" and unplug the machine from the electrical outlet.
- 2). Pull the white cleaning solution tank from the machine and empty into a large sink. Wash the white tank with warm water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Rinse well and set the tank aside to dry.
- 3). Remove the lower tank from the Rug Doctor machine and empty the contents into a large sink. Wash the tank with warm water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Rinse well and set aside to dry.
- 4). Locate the filter underneath the clear dome on the Rug Doctor machine. Remove the filter from the machine and rinse it under hot water for 20 or 30 seconds or until it is clean.
- 5). Wipe out the clear dome with a clean cloth and put the filter back under the dome.
- 6). Turn the machine over and wipe the brushes and the bottom of the machine with a clean cloth.
- 7). Replace the white tank and the lower tank to the machine.
