How to Protect Furniture From Slipping on Hardwood Floor

    • 1). Place rubber disks (or saucers) under the legs of the furniture. The disks can easily be found at home improvement stores. They are also simple to install.

    • 2). Place gripper pads on the bottom of the furniture legs. Gripper pads come with a self-stick backing and make it much harder for the furniture to slide.

    • 3). Cut small circles out of a spare carpet with a utility knife. Place the carpet circles under the legs of the furniture with the top of the carpeting facing down.

    • 4). Place small plastic cups on the bottom of the furniture legs. This method is the cheapest solution.

    • 5). Place bumper feet under the furniture legs. Bumper feet work the same way as rubber disks, but are taller and cover more of the legs.

    • 6). Place furniture sliders on the bottom of furniture legs. Furniture sliders are designed to help move furniture, but will also prevent the furniture from slipping.
