How to Use a Fusion Pan to Cook
- 1). Choose the meat or fish for your recipe and opt for a herb or spice that will complement it. Use well-known combinations before you try to create your own recipes. Lamb and rosemary, chicken and tarragon or salmon and dill are all excellent combinations of flavors
- 2). Steep the herbs in water or stock that is almost at boiling point and leave to stand for a few minutes while you prepare the meat or fish. Slice the meat into thin strips to speed up the cooking process. Add a little oil to the pan and heat over the hob until the oil is sizzling hot. Add the meat or fish and sear it to seal the juices in.
- 3). Add the herb or spice infused liquid to the smaller compartment of your infusion pan and cover the pan with the lid. Turn down the heat as the the liquid begins to steam. Leave to cook and the steam will add flavor to the meats.
- 4). Remove the meat or fish and leave to rest for a few minutes. Add vegetable to steam and take on the flavor of the herbs. Vegetables cook at different rates so cut them into equal-sized cubes or julienne strips to cook more evenly and quickly.
- 5). Experiment with combinations of flavors to create exciting new meals. Swap the stock for soy sauce or balsamic vinegar for a deeper, more pungent flavor. Combine cinnamon with chicken for a sweeter taste. Cook fruits, pears and apples infused with cider and cloves or pineapple with ginger for an unusual dessert.
