- 1). Fill two buckets with water.
- 2). Scrape away any excess adhesive on top of the tiles, using a utility knife.
- 3). Pour a small amount of grout powder into your empty bucket and pour enough water to get it to the consistency recommended in the product instruction manual. Mix only enough to cover a 10-square-foot area.
- 4). Apply grout in a small area about 10 square feet and finish applying your grout in that area before starting a new area. Use the grout float to apply the grout into the joints or space between the tiles at a 45-degree angle. Remove excess grout by scraping the float at a 90-degree angle across the tile, putting excess grout in the trowel. The grout sets in 30 minutes.
- 5). Remove more excess grout with a damp round sponge. Rinse out the sponge and clean all areas on the tile. When a light haze remains on the tile, switch to wiping diagonally across the tiles until the haze is cleaned up.
