How to Glue a Teacup to a Saucer

    • 1). Ventilate the room in which you’ll be working. The glue you’ll handle emits fumes.

    • 2). Make sure the base of the teacup (as well as the saucer) is clean and dry. Put on rubber gloves to protect your hands from the glue.

    • 3). Place the teacup in the center of the saucer, positioning the cup exactly where you want it. Hold it steady and use a pencil to lightly draw around the base of the teacup on the saucer.

    • 4). Uncap the glue. Turn the teacup over and place the nozzle of the glue bottle around the bottom rim of the cup. Gently squeeze the glue until it begins flowing and cover the outer bottom edge with the glue.

    • 5). Place the teacup upside down next to the saucer and immediately place a stream of glue on the saucer on the pencil mark.

    • 6). Set the teacup on the saucer, pressing down gently. In under a minute the glue should set and the teacup will be stuck fast to the saucer. Leave it undisturbed overnight.

    • 7). Use fingernail polish remover on a soft cloth or cotton swab to remove any spilled glue.
