We certainly hear of people dying from continuing to smoke, so don't you think we'd hear of people dying from quitting? If that were true.
But there are probably some organizations and people that would benefit from you believing that nicotine was as addictive as they say.
Drug companies for sure.
And cigarette manufacturers who would be very happy for you to think you can't stop, so you'd continue to buy their cigarettes.
The danger in nicotine replacement is that it keeps you believing that you are an addict.
That belief will keep you stuck in the mindset of a smoker and make it harder for you after you quit.
And I believe it makes it easier for you to slip back into the old ways of a smoker.
Because you have a ready made excuse - you're an addict! The bottom line is that people do use nicotine patches to stop smoking and you can use them more effectively when you combine them with a way of changing your attitude and thoughts about smoking with hypnosis to quit smoking.
