How to Arrange Wall Frames Over a Table
- 1). Spray paint the frames so they're all the same color. The styles and widths may be different, but the consistency of color gives the frames a coordinated look. Mat all the photos, prints or artwork in the same color. Again, this keeps the look consistent.
- 2). Measure the length of the table. Cut the wrapping paper to that length and to a width of 4 feet. For example, if the table is 5 feet long, the piece of wrapping paper would be 5 feet by 4 feet. Lay the paper, with the blank side up, on a flat surface. Use the floor if you don't have a table that is big enough.
- 3). Place the largest frame in the middle of the paper. The distance to the bottom and top of the paper should be the same. It should be equal distance from each side. The other frames will be arranged around this center frame.
- 4). Put two medium-sized frames on either side of the largest frame. Those frames should be at least 12 inches away from the large frame and at least 18 inches from the top of the sheet of paper.
- 5). Place the four small frames so that one is above and below each of the medium-sized ones, centering each one in line with the medium-sized frame.
- 6). Put the narrow frame at the top above the large frame. Center it with the large frame.
- 7). Adjust the frames so the colors are balanced. In other words, if two of the pictures or photos are primarily green, don't put them both on one side.
- 8). Trace around each frame with the pencil. Measure where the hanger for the frame is on the frame and then make an X on the paper where the hanger is within the outline of the frame. Remove the frames from the paper.
- 9). Tape the paper to the wall behind the table. The bottom edge of the paper should be an inch or two above the top of the table. Hammer the nails to hang the frames on the Xs you've made on the paper. If you're using something besides nails, poke a pencil through the X and mark the wall behind with the pencil.
