How to Naturally Get Rid of Roaches Outside
- 1). Make a natural roach-killing bait by mixing 1/4 cup vegetable shortening, 1/8 cup white or powdered sugar, 1 cup borax powder, 1/2 cup flour and enough water to make a dough-like substance. Stir the mixture well with a spoon to distribute the borax evenly throughout.
- 2). Place a spoonful of the borax cockroach bait in each empty, clean yogurt container. Seal the lid onto the container and then make a small, fingertip-sized hole in the center of the lid with a kitchen knife. This hole allows roaches to enter and exit your bait station but keeps out animals.

Set the yogurt containers around your patio or deck and other areas where cockroaches have been spotted. Cockroaches will eat the bait and share some with the rest of the nest, eventually killing the entire group of roaches. Replenish the bait every few days. - 4). Sprinkle diatomaceous earth on the ground and on and around outdoor furniture. The natural powder is safe for humans and pets but kills roaches by cutting into their exoskeletons, causing them to die of dehydration. Apply more diatomaceous earth once each week.
