How to Remove an Individual From a Joint Account with Bank of America

- 1). Go to a Bank of America branch to meet with a representative. Both account holders must be present. An appointment is not necessary.
- 2). Show photo ID or an ATM or debit card to confirm the identity of both account holders.
- 3). Sign the Bank of America form requesting the removal of one of the individuals from the account. Signatures from both account holders are necessary.
- 4). Wait at least 10 minutes to confirm that the account holder's name has been removed.
