Something For You - Your Family - Your Life
I know just when you thought you were so busy you couldn't fit another thing on your plate, something else pops up.
It is true when you are already up to your elbows in a particular project and look forward to it be complete because of all the things you can finally get to, other things inevitably pop up.
The universe is a vacuum and our in boxes are not meant to be empty.
There will always be something else to tend to.
It is the ways things are.
It is normal for us to have a lot to do, in fact it is purposeful.
The key is being able to manage it.
To take control of these things rather than letting them control you.
How do you do that, you wonder, because just as I seem to have a free moment it gets filled with something else? I think it gets down to priority management and time management, including the importance of blocking out time for those things that are most important to you.
Another way to look at this is to set very strong boundaries around how you spend your time.
Time is one of the most precious resources we have because once it is gone, you don't get it back.
So make that appointment with yourself today, and keep it!! One step at a time.
One room at a time.
One closet at a time.
One drawer at a time.
We are all so busy and often overwhelmed the little things at home do not get attended to.
To bring up something that most of us don't like to think about let alone deal with is clutter.
And if you haven't had a chance to do some spring cleaning, now is the perfect time do a little purge of anything we no longer love, use or appreciate.
The reason I bring it up here is that for many people having clutter, or a lot of stuff lying around makes them feel overwhelmed, as though there is so much to do.
It's like mind clutter.
So, here are a couple of simple ways to tackle the physical clutter as well as the mental clutter.
However small you need to break this down, do it as it works for you.
The size of the task at hand can overwhelm you, so break it down into small doable pieces.
Some people just don't know where to start.
Perhaps it's easier to accomplish in terms of one task at a time.
For instance, vacuuming, or just picking up the toys, or clearing off and organizing your desk.
These are all ways help you feel as though you've made progress.
When it comes to spring cleaning, we all naturally think about cleaning out closets.
I know I like this particular task because it feels good when it is done.
Yet to think about cleaning them all out in one day feels overwhelming, so I'll set the goal to do one closet a day.
We feel lighter and freer when our homes are in order.
It is true that clutter or just having things in disarray can bring on irritability, overwhelm and/or frustration.
Now for your business or career, (whichever happens to apply to your situation), I'd like to offer a tip on how to grow or expand your opportunities.
I want to expand on the topic of Facebook and how you can use it to benefit your business or career.
Facebook is a social networking service that began in 2004 and as of January 2011:
Second, you can make it easy for people to find out more about the work you do.
You can easily add links to your websites, audio and video thus offering more information in a variety of formats.
Third, it is a great way to announce events that you might be facilitating or attending.
These events can be in a variety of formats whether they are live, by telephone or a webinar, each one can be publicized on Facebook.
