FAN FEEDBACK AND QUESTIONS

Andrea writes: “I thought things were going to get better there for a while, but it seems I was wrong. I don't think I have watched a full week in months. I really do not like the story line with Marty. It may be that it is because I do not like this Marty at all. I never watched it when she was on it before so that could be my problem but still, wouldn't you want to get to know a son you didn't know you had?

As for John, he has tried his best. If she doesn't want to listen he can't make her. I do like the story line with Brody and Jessica but that is just a small patch and does not keep me coming back. There is nothing there that makes me NEED to see the show. I really hope that they can get a writer in there that can do some good stories.”

Dear Andrea: I can’t disagree with you about the show giving us some storylines that are weak and basically uninteresting. I didn’t really see a need to have Marty back in the first place either and to have her revert back to the old party girl days is just a bore for me. I think that taking her completely out of Cole’s life lately has been a bad move on the part of the writers. It doesn’t make sense that she would not try to forge a new relationship with her son, or at least try to be with him when she sees he so desperately needs to bond with her again. I am reserving judgment on Brody and Jessica. I couldn’t stand Brody when he first came on the show, but after getting to see his character develop a little bit, I do find him interesting and I like the way he and Jessica relate to each other.

It’s way too soon for me to accept a replacement for Nash; I loved that guy. What I would like is to see Jessica and Brody have a really close friendship since they seem to have found something in each other that they don’t get elsewhere.

Andrea writes: “I am glad that John is staying because I really like him and Blair together. He has smiled more with her than with anyone in a long time. I never really saw him and Nat back in the day. I started watching when he was with Evangeline. I like that they can both be honest with each other and that they say they don’t want any strings, but you know that they are both getting more feelings than they are letting on. I like the new Blair and I hope that she is done with Todd for ever, but if not forever then for a good long time.”

Dear Andea: I am thrilled that John is staying, although I wonder how much longer he and Blair are going to last. She didn’t stay the new Blair for very long, did she? The small changes she made when she was getting involved with John are becoming a thing of the past and I am sad to say that it does seem like Blair will never get Todd out of her system or her insecurities. Blair can’t stand not being the center of attention for all the men around her and although she did originally sympathize with Marty and the fact that John needed to look out for her, that didn’t last long. Blair’s nasty and vindictive side came out last week and I don’t think John saw it as very pretty. I sure didn’t. I think it’s sad that just when I think Blair has turned a corner and become a mature woman, she reverts back and drags out the claws again.
