How to Combat Irritation With Aquaphor Healing Ointment

- 1). Clean the affected area. Make sure to use a gentle cleanser and warm water to clean the area.
- 2). Apply to the entire affected area. Use on severely dry, cracked or chafed skin, minor scrapes, burns and diaper rash.
- 3). Reapply Aquaphor as needed. Reapply the healing ointment every two hours to keep skin protected consistently. If the ointment is still on after two hours, just wait until it has worn off before reapplying.
- 4). Keep the healing ointment out of your eyes.
- 5). Do not use Aquaphor on third-degree burns or deep wounds.
- 6). See a doctor if the area does not heal within seven days.
