Surrounding Yourself With The Right People
When I look back at how I got to be just where I am today, the process is truly amazing.
Some of my first memories took place on the baseball diamond.
From the age of three playing tee-ball at the park to pitching today for an NCAA Division I university.
This may be my personally story but it is one that many people can relate to.
How many of you have memories of playing catch in the backyard with your father at a young age? How many countless days and weekends have you spent at the ballpark over the years? And do you know who has been there from the start? Your Parents: You will never find a bigger fan in life than your parent's.
They were always the first in the stands and the last to leave.
No one gets more nervous than my parent's even to this day.
I could have an absolutely terrible game but I would always know that my parent's would be there waiting for me afterwords.
My father has always been my best coach.
There is no one that has watched me more, through the emotional lows and highs.
He has seen me at my best and at my absolute worst.
Even to this day the first person I usually talk to after an outing is my father.
When you surround yourself with the right people you are setting yourself up for success.
Be this in the classroom, life, or on the baseball diamond setting yourself up for success is vital.
I am lucky to be surrounded by such great teammates.
Having people around that push you to get better every day in everything that you do can only lead to more success.
When I step onto the field I know that everyone of my teammates has got my back.
It is the trust we have built with each other through all the hard work we have put in to get where we are today.
Having people around you that care is irreplaceable.
From parents to teammates being around people that have your best interests in mind can't be beat.
"For the parents of a Little Leaguer, a baseball game is simply a nervous breakdown into innings.
