How to Decorate Canvas Sneakers
- 1). Purchase a dye that is suitable for fabric and follow the instructions for preparation. Remove the shoelaces from your sneakers and place them in the dye. Set the laces aside and allow them to dry before placing them back on the sneakers.
- 2). Use fabric paints to paint a variety of images on the sides and top of the sneaker. Use stencils to assist you in this process if you are not artistically inclined.
- 3). Use fabric glitter glue to outline your painted and stenciled images. Use a variety of colors, or choose one color that matches a particular outfit you wish to wear with your decorated sneakers.
- 4). Use puff paint to write your initials on the heel of each sneaker. Write the initial of your first name on the left sneaker and the initial of your last name on the right sneaker.
- 5). Use a craft glue to affix plastic jewels to the border of your canvas sneakers. Place them closer together or farther apart, depending on the amount of bling you wish to add to the shoes.
- 6). Allow your canvas shoes to dry at least an hour before wearing.
