- 1). Pour out any linen-scented oil from the diffuser.
- 2). Rinse the diffuser with hot water.
- 3). Fill the diffuser halfway with rubbing alcohol.
- 4). Place a rubber glove on one hand and wipe out the inside of the diffuser with the tip of your finger. This will pull any residue off the sides of the diffuser.
- 5). Clean crevices and hard-to-reach areas with a cotton swab.
- 6). Discard the alcohol and fill the diffuser with fresh alcohol. Let it sit overnight.
- 7). Discard the alcohol and flush the diffuser with hot water to remove the alcohol and any associated scent. Allow the diffuser to air dry, then refill with fresh oil.
