Dyson Ball Dc 24 Multi-floor Cleaning Vacuum Review...by Owner

I got an early Christmas present this year, and no it wasnt something I really wanted, but it is something I needed. My old vacuum quit working about mid November, so as a early Christmas present, my wife got me a Dyson Ball DC 24 Multi-Floor Vacuum for a steal of $249 on black friday! Boy was I excited! (Sarcasm intended)

The Dyson Ball Vacuum is for REAL!!

After using the product, I was pleasantly surprised! This vacuum is like no other vacuum Ive ever used. Words cant describe how light weight it is. Compared to any vacuum Ive ever pushed, it is hard to tell Im pushing anything at all. It easily glides on all surfaces. If I was guessing, I would say it weighs around 10 lbs. About the weight of my cat!

Not only is it light weight, it compacts down for easy storage. It only takes up about a foot in width, and two and a half feet in height! You can store it anywhere! I actually store my vacuum cleaner on the top shelf in my closet. Ive never been able to do that before.

If you want power, Dyson leads the industry in power. How can this small machine have so much sucking power?! Ive owned Bissels, Hoovers, and even and old Kirby and nothing sucks like this. To give you an example of its strength, my two year old son who likes to play with it got the hand wand stuck to his stomach and couldnt get it off! After about 5 seconds he was the owner of his first hickie courtesy of Dyson.

On top of all that the maneuverability is second to none, hence the name Dyson Ball. It turns on a dime around corners, legs of the couch, chairs etc. I never paid attention to how I used to vacuum but I was constantly pushing and pulling it back and forth to get around these things. Now I just use one simple swipe, and the ball maneuvers right to the places I want to get.

The filters and waste storage tank are easy to access and clean. No more do I have to fight to get these things off, and struggle to get them to fit back on correctly. With a snap of a button these things come on and off easily and without hassle.

One Bad Thing About the Dyson Ball

The one downfall I have experienced with the Dyson Ball is the multi-floor cleaning aspect. You see, if you push a button the sweepers quit turning enabling you to vacuum hard wood floors, tile, etc. The problem is getting it to come back on. Im sure its easy if I read the directions, but I have struggled a few times to get the sweepers to start rotating again. With that said, if that is the only thing I have to struggle with Im happy.

Overall

In my opinion, the Dyson Ball DC 24 is an excellent piece of equipment, and the finest vacuum Ive ever owned. I would recommend this product to anyone. It isnt cheap, but then again if definitely isnt the most expensive vacumn cleaner on the market either. Like anything, you get what you pay for, and for $250-$350 bucks you cant go wrong with this product.
