DIY Bridal Flower Bouquet With Artificial Flowers & Carnations
- 1). Group the flowers you have chosen and bind them with a rubber band to make sure you like the size and arrangement. Arrange the carnations throughout the bouquet to create a sense of fullness. Adjust to your preference.
- 2). Cut stems to an even length. Leave enough space from the base of the flowers to allow you to comfortably hold the bouquet with both hands.
- 3). Wrap florist tape around the stems to create a unified and smooth surface. Cover the tips of the flower stems and be careful of any wires that might stick out from the stems. You may want to use a small piece of florist foam or batting to cushion the end if there are many wires.
- 4). Attach any optional ribbons or strings of beads to the bouquet using floral tape. These should be of various lengths, from 12 to 18 inches.
- 5). Wrap the base of the bouquet in thick ribbon in one or several of your wedding colors. Be sure to disguise the floral tape and the tops of the strings of beads.
- 6). Secure the end of the ribbon to the bouquet using a floral pin. Make sure the tip of the pin is not sticking out.
