Things About Baby Acne

After a baby is born, there maybe lingering maternal hormones which can cause acne.
The baby gets the hormone from the baby's placenta after baby is born.
Around 20 percent of baby's are affected with baby acne.
So do not worry if your newborn has pimples.
It is also know as acne-neonatorum.
When treating infantile acne, you need to know that the treatment isn't the same for any of the age groups.
Acne in infants can be gender biased.
Infantile affects the male babies more then the female babies.
Babies that get acne, it usually gets them around three weeks of age.
At time of delivery babies can have infantile acne.
Pustules and papules are types of acne that you will find on your babies.
Paustules are like whiteheads that are filled with puss and papules are the red bumps that you find on your babies skin.
Babies can develop acne on their scalp.
The good thing about acne on babies is that it don't require treatment so much.
In a 4 month period, the lesion will go away themselves.
Just take care of your babies head as you would on the other body parts.
You can clean your babies face once a day with mild soap and water.
Its not a good idea to use lotions or any kind of harsh products that you may think is good.
They can make the condition worse by using them kind of products.
You just need to know that acne will go away.
When you have anxiety photographing the baby, do not stuff their cheeks full of all kinds of cosmetics and if you would need to have any touch-ups, do this in a imaginative way.
You can treat your baby with a topical cream called retinoids, keratoytic, and benzoyl peroxide if your doctor or even yourself feel that the acne is severe enough.
Acne is a mystery.
If your family or even you have a history of acne, it don't mean that your child will have it.
If you baby has acne now, it won't mean that your child will have acne as he/she matures.
Acne has its very own strategy at attacking and its working style.
Sometimes, acne will normally appear when the child is about age of 3 months or older.
But sometimes clears up by 12 months.
There is no special treatment that's require to treat acne in babies.
It can take up to 3 years for it to finally disappear.
You contribute to the acne on your child because it is hereditary.
