How to Make Your Own Unity Candle Flower Arrangements

    • 1). Set your foam bricks next to each other, end to end. Place the candles on top to see where you want them to sit in the flower arrangement. Mark the spots and insert the candle holder picks in an evenly spaced fashion, with the pillar candle in the center and taper candles on the ends. Use hot glue to secure the picks in place. Leave space on each end between the taper candles and the end of the foam bricks.

    • 2). Cut the cardboard to the size and shape of the attached foam bricks. Secure each brick to the cardboard using floral tape. Wrap the tape around the perimeter of the bricks and cardboard, stretching it to make it stick. If you don't have cardboard, substitute foam core board.

    • 3). Attach the greenery to the foam bricks by putting the stems of leaves into the foam. Ferns are a popular choice, but almost any greenery will work. Attach the leaves one by one in an open fashion, covering the surface of the foam blocks. Leave space for large flowers in the arrangement, specifically in the front center of the foam bricks.

    • 4). Use the scissors to cut stems from real flowers to 1/2 inch in length. If you are using silk flowers, use wire cutters to completely remove the flower from the stem. Cluster large flowers together for a central focal point, and accent with smaller blooms throughout the unity candle arrangement. Use flowers that complement the rest of your wedding flowers. Add the candles to complete the arrangement.
