- 1). Spray your hair so it is damp. If you have very long or thick hair, you may need to respray during the process to ensure the hair remains damp.
- 2). Use a comb to form a section around 1 inch in size. The smaller the sections are, the tighter the resulting curl will be.
- 3). Wrap the section of hair around the rag roller, and roll upward as you would do with a normal roller.
- 4). Tie the fabric once and pull it tight. This is much easier to take out than if you tie the fabric into knots.
- 5). Repeat with all sections of the hair.
- 6). Leave in for at least a few hours, and preferably overnight. As there is no heat involved, the quality of the curl is determined by how long the rag rollers are in, so leave them in for as long as possible.
