Enhance your next trip to Seattle with a stay in a luxury resort. Attention to detail, comfort, good food and personalized service are among the hallmarks of a quality resort. Seattle's Pacific Northwest setting lends itself well to a resort stay. With miles of ocean and lake fronts to discover, recreational opportunities from hiking to sailing, and fresh seafood from Puget Sound to savor, a luxury resort can be a great base for your explorations of the Seattle area.

    Woodmark Hotel

    • The Woodmark Hotel, Yacht Club and Spa on Lake Washington offers lake views from almost every room. Unwind with a drink from your room's make-your-own martini bar on your private balcony or use the Woodmark's complimentary "Raid the Pantry" service, which provides late-night snacks such as sandwiches, soups and desserts. Get out on the water on the resort's 1956, 28-foot Chris-Craft boat, or borrow one of the hotel's kayaks. Bin on the Lake serves gourmet cuisine paired with more than 80 wine choices. You can also have a casual meal at the Beach Café. The resort is within walking distance of shopping and dining in downtown Kirkland and is just over five miles from Seattle.

    Four Seasons Seattle

    • Set in the heart of downtown Seattle's waterfront, the Four Seasons Seattle is within walking distance of city attractions such as Pike Place Market, the Seattle Art Museum and Benaroya Hall. Rooms offer views of Elliot Bay, Puget Sound or the Olympic Mountains. The 147 guest rooms feature works by Pacific Northwest artists from the Seattle Art Museum's collections. Rooms also have marble soaking tubs and walk-in rain showers. Dine on locally-sourced produce and seafood at the ART Restaurant, or order room service. The Four Seasons Spa offers massage and skin treatments based on local ingredients and healing traditions.

    Willows Lodge

    • Willows Lodge is set on 5 acres on the Sammamish River, about 14 miles from Seattle. The lodge has a focus on local wine production. The concierge can arrange tours of the more than 30 wineries in the region, and the Barking Frog restaurant received the "Most Innovative Wine List" by the Washington Wine Commission. Menus at the Barking Frog include local ingredients such as Puget Sound seafood, Northwest beef tenderloin and Tillamook cheeses. The lodge is within short driving distance of golf, shopping, rafting, kayaking and hot air ballooning. Willows Lodge rents bicycles for use on the nearby 26-mile Burke-Gilman Trail.

    Fairmont Olympic

    • Downtown Seattle's Fairmont Olympic is located in a 1924 building listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Fairmont Olympic is within walking distance of city attractions such as the waterfront, Pike Place Market and the Seattle Art Museum. The Fairmont is also within walking distance of the Seattle Monorail, which can take you to attractions such as Seattle Center, the Space Needle and Westlake Center. Swim in the Fairmont's indoor pool, or work out in the 24-hour fitness center. Massage, yoga and personal trainers are also available. Dine at the formal Georgian restaurant or the informal Shuckers oyster bar or grab a cocktail at the Terrace piano bar.
