    Asheville Art Museum

    Biltmore Estate and Winery

    • The Biltmore Estate includes the mansion, gardens and winery of the Vanderbilt family and was built in 1895. The home has 250 rooms, including an indoor pool and bowling alley. Guests can tour the home and sample wines in the winery. Guided tours of the home are available. Tickets to tour the Biltmore house start at $27.50 for children and $55 for adults.

    Asheville Historic Trolley Tour

    • The trolley tour lasts 90 minutes and some sites in Asheville the tour includes are the Botanical Gardens and Basilica of Saint Lawrence. Riders can board the trolley at nine locations. Tickets are sold at all nine locations as well as the Asheville Area Chamber of Commerce. Tickets are $19 for adults and $12 for children ages 17 and under. Group rates are available. The Asheville Historic Trolley also offers ghost tours at night.

    Asheville Outdoor Center

    • Located on the French Broad River, visitors can participate in many activities at the Asheville Outdoor Center, including kayaking, camping and rafting. Prices vary by activity; for example, gem mining starts at $8 for a small bucket and the seven-mile river trip starts at $24 for children. The Asheville Outdoor Center also offers a summer camp for children ages 10 to 14.
