How to Sleep Comfortably on the Floor

Instructions

1

Choose a carpeted area. For obvious reasons, a carpeted floor is more comfortable than a cement, hardwood or tiled floor.
2

Make sure you have lots of space to spread out. Your comfort level will diminish if your spot on the floor is obstructed by furniture or otherwise cramped.
3

Use fewer pillows than you normally use on your bed. Because the floor doesn't have the same spring effect as a mattress, your pillows won't sink as they normally do. Therefore, you'll need fewer pillows to achieve the same neck elevation that you usually find comfortable on a bed.
4

Vary the spot that you sleep in. That way, you won't press an outline of your body into your new shag carpet.
5

Sleep in a sleeping bag. A sleeping bag is as cozy as it is convenient, because it covers the floor and you at the same time.
