- 1). Pour your presoaked beans into a colander to drain and rinse with cold water. Don't worry if there is a little bit of moisture left on the beans; they do not need to be completely dry to store well.
- 2). Pour the rinsed beans into a food storage container that has a tight-fitting lid to keep the flavor and moisture locked in.
- 3). Place the container of beans in the refrigerator for up to five days before cooking.
- 4). Freeze the beans if you plan on waiting longer than five days before cooking them. Once they have been drained, place them flat on a cookie sheet in the freezer for about an hour. Transfer the beans to a freezer bag and label before putting in the freezer.
