Powerbrush Directions
- 1). Move as much furniture as possible out of the room you'll be cleaning, and vacuum it thoroughly with a standard dry vacuum cleaner.
- 2). Press the handle-release lever on the back of the machine down with your foot, and lay the handle down to get to the tank. Remove the tank from the base of the Powerbrush by lifting the tank carry handle upward.
- 3). Turn the tank handle forward to unlatch and remove the lid. Turn the tank over, and find the built-in measuring cup. Pour Bissell cleaning solution into this cup up to the fill line, and pour this solution into the mouth of the bladder, located inside the tank. Fill the bladder the rest of the way with clean and hot tap water.
- 4). Match the tank lid up with the tank edges, with the handle of the lid in the forward position. Turn the tank handle to the carrying position to latch the lid securely shut.
- 5). Put the tank firmly back into the Powerbrush base, and turn the tank handle back into a latched position. Push the Powerbrush machine handle back into its upright position.
- 6). Plug the Powerbrush in, turn the power on, and press the handle-release lever on the lower back of the machine down with your foot.
- 7). Press the spray trigger located under the handle, and make one slow forward wet pass and another pass backwards in the same path. Do not press the spray trigger multiple times during a pass because you will oversaturate your rug.
- 8). Make one slow forward and backward pass over the same area without depressing the spray trigger. This removes any dirty water in the carper fibers and speeds up the drying process.
- 9). Continue cleaning passes until the solution being pulled up from the carpet appears clean. Follow these cleaning passes with passes in which you don't use the spray trigger, until you don't see any water being suctioned up from the carpet.
