- 1). Lay newspapers or old sheets down to protect flooring. Open windows or turn on fans to ventilate the air. Wear a respirator, rubber gloves and eye protection.
- 2). Pour 2 to 4 cups of paint thinner into a bucket. The amount of paint thinner depends on how large an area of paint needs removed.
- 3). Sprinkle kitty litter slowly into the paint thinner. Stir the paint thinner with a wooden stick as you add the kitty litter. Pour enough of the kitty litter to make a creamy paste.
- 4). Spread the mixture evenly over the paint on the concrete. Allow the mixture to work on the paint for 20 minutes.
- 5). Scrape the paint and paint thinner mixture from the concrete with a plastic scraper. Deposit the removed paint and mixture onto old newspapers as you scrape. Remove all the paint and mixture from the concrete.
- 6). Fill a bucket with warm water. Rinse the affected area with the water and a large sponge. Dry the concrete with old towels.
