How to Dress for a Nickelodeon Audition
- 1). Read the call sheet for the audition to determine if there will be a movement exercise during the audition. If there is, your child will need to wear loose-fitting clothes so she can stretch and move.
- 2). Choose colors that don't contrast. If you choose a green top, go with jean bottoms. If you choose an orange skirt, pair it with a white top. Avoid patterns. The goal is to make sure the outfit isn't distracting and busy.
- 3). Choose sturdy shoes for the outfit so the child can move around when auditioning. Flip-flops or shoes with heels could impede the process.
- 4). Make sure your child's hair is well groomed. If your child has pieces of hair that falls in her face, pull it back with a hair band so casting agents can see and remember her face.
- 5). Apply some very subtle makeup. A bit of blush, lipstick and mascara will keep your child from looking washed out under the audition lights.
