DIY Upright Coat Hanger Stand for a Laptop

    • 1). Place the hanger on top of the hard surface so that the edge of the surface is in the middle of the hanger. Turn the hanger upright and push it slightly against the edge of the surface, creating a slight bend in the bottom of the hanger.

    • 2). Position the hanger on the surface to leave 3 inches of the hanger's wing hanging off the surface. Bend each wing to a 45-degree angle.

    • 3). Lay the hanger flat on your work desk and place your laptop, unfolded, into the cradle produced by the hanger. Adjust the wings of your stand by bending them upward so that the stand corresponds with your eye level while securely cradling your laptop.

    • 4). Attach your keyboard and mouse to their corresponding connectors or sync them to your computer wirelessly if such a device is being used. You may then use your laptop as a computer screen.
